Getting excited on how easy ZBrush was to use, I decided to incorporate it into another piece of class work. The task was to create a realistic Pokemon Movie poster and so I tried my best to make the Pokemon as realistic as possible.

There were a few others but they aren't worth showing.
So I finally discovered ZBrush and I have to say it is the best 3D modelling program I've used so far. For modelling organic pieces and even mechanical, once you get past the overwhelmingly complex appearance of the UI it's great.
Here's a few busts I made to test the program.

Futurustic Samurai Design

For a class research project we had to research and make something from it (I still don't really understand it) Anyway, after the last suit of armour I thought I'd try again.

First Wacom

Finally got my first Drawing Tablet so now I can draw straight onto the computer. Just some cartoony stuff I started off with

Elf Armour, Modelling Stages

The modelling took longer than expected as although I had the basic drawing and design down I kept changing what I wanted it to look like. At this point I hadn't begun to work on organic objects so although I wanted to create an actual character I didn't have the skills to fill the suit.

Malachi: Elf Armour

After the transformer I wanted  to work on something a little less complex and so a suit of armour seemed the right choice. At first I was just putting some pieces together to see how it would look.

Garbage Truck Transformer Unfinished

After completing a generic transformer I thought it would be fun to create one that actually transformed from something. I chose a garbage truck for a big, tanky transformer. Unfortunately I never got round to completing the transformer and so it will ever remain a plain old vehicle.

As pointed out by many people, this is not how a garbage truck would look like as they do not have both a rear compactor and a skip compactor above. But really, who cares?

Completed Transformer Design

As you can see, he doesn't actually transform into anything as this was a design for the generic decepticon before they gain some sort of identity. As stated in the previous post, this was my first proper piece of work so this was essentially the first time I had worked with posing and rendering.

Transformer Design Work In Progress

This WIP (work in progress) image of the arms gained a ridiculous amount of popularity on DeviantArt even though it was the least thought out.

This was the first properly thought out and designed project I embarked on which turned out pretty well in the end. I used a technique called "Kit Bashing" in which you simply model 10 or so mechanical looking objects and then stick them together in different ways to make "machine parts".

As usual, I always leave the head until last...

New here...

Hey guys,

So I've been 3D modelling for a few years now and I thought I'd try my hand at expanding past simply uploading them to DeviantArt. At first I'll upload a hole bunch of models I've worked on just to get them out of the way then the posts may become less regular but hopefully more professional in content. So, enjoy!
